What a fun day was had at the 2010 Art on The Porches event in Strathmore this past Saturday. Visitors to the Alchemical booth enjoyed viewing and bidding on the TTP artworks on exhibit, making Booty Shakes (nod to Zach for the name) on the bici-blender, and discussing eco-villages,
permaculture, and how to get involved . . . . .
Three new artworks were part of the exhibit this time through. "Gulf Gates" by Kristian Rodriguez, "2010" by Adrienne Allen, and a reprise of "Are We Not in Kansas Anymore" by Susan Scholl. Visit the former Trash Transformer Project article here on our website to view all the TTP artworks and learn how to place your bid. Don't forget that by placing a bid and purchasing a TTP piece you are supporting the arts here in CNY - get recognized for it by joining the CNY Arts Covenant.
A special thank you to the following volunteers and core team who really helped make Saturday a great event for Alchemical. Sasha, Ursula, Frank, Elizabeth, and Adrienne gave a big part of their days supporting Alchemical's mission (and Sue for saving the day by bringing a set of Allen wrenches to get the bici-blender back up after midday). These folks were responsible for set-up, staffing the booth, keeping the bici-blender running (so folks could enjoy banana and strawberry smoothie Booty Shakes), and clean-up and take down.
