mandalabacktif.gif The pre-organized workshop sessions (in the morning before the afternoon's Open Space attendee directed sessions) at the upcoming Glossary Link Permaculture Gathering revolve around four topic areas.  For those unable to make the event but interested in learning more, for accessing reading or educational resources, and for familiarizing yourself with these topics, here are a selection of websites the Alchemical community has found valuable that contain loads of free permaculture education and wisdom.

Green Infrastructure in Syracuse
Onondaga County's Green Infrastructure website.  Includes a link to the "Green Improvement Fund" providing financial assistance for the installation of Green Infrastructure projects on eligible privately owned properties (commercial, business, and 501(c)3 owned properties) in the Clinton/Harbor Brook Combined Sewersheds in the City of Syracuse.

The Environmental Finance Center at Syracuse University - http://efc.syracusecoe.org/
Contains a link to an educational brochure they have produced explaining the basics of Green Infrastructure.

haitihandsthumb.jpg First, a very big and gracious thank you to everyone who donated thier time, energy, materials, and money towards the Haitian Relief Benefit Concert we held on Friday January 22 at Spark Contemporary Art Space here in Syracuse, NY.  After all was said and done, $725.00 will be split between Partners in Health for health care in Haiti, and Permacultura American Latina (through the permaculturehaiti.org website) for Glossary Link permaculture relief efforts in Haiti.

Some pics from the event are now online in our Photos Gallery , please check them out.

And finally, for an idea of how permaculture will be able to help relief efforts in Haiti, please take a read of Cory Brennan's blog post at Sustainable Relief in Haiti through Permaculture.  Here's a preview:
