Why try to drive a cart with a broken wheel when all you have to do is put on the wheel that does work? -- and the wheel is right there. We just have to start.Imagine walking down the street on the way home from work or from doing a few errands next autumn and plucking off a few apples and putting them into your basket for your family then walking on to the next block and collecting the walnuts there. They may be misshapen or there may be a worm or two but there are no toxic chemicals or strange genetic materials in them and...they are free. They are growing on what used to be high maintenance green space -- park lawns.

There is a practical method of developing ecologically harmonious, efficient and productive systems . . . .

Alchemical would like to introduce Tina Zagyva and the project entitled "Themselves Has Been A Gathering" as the latest fiscally sponsored member of the Glossary Link Quinta Essentia program. Tina's sculptural pieces are narratives on the future living spaces of humanity.

What a fun day was had at the 2010 Art on The Porches event in Strathmore this past Saturday.  Visitors to the Alchemical booth enjoyed viewing and bidding on the TTP artworks on exhibit, making Booty Shakes (nod to Zach for the name) on the bici-blender, and discussing eco-villages, Glossary Link permaculture, and how to get involved . . . . .

Our final 2010 exhibition is at the Re{IN}force Fall Art Show & Gear Factory Fundraiser - Saturday October 9 from 5pm to midnight - Case Supply Warehouse, 112 Wyoming st, Syracuse.  More details at: http://bit.ly/ReinforceCase

It is the pleasure of The Glossary Link Alchemical Nursery to present the commissioned artworks of the 2010 Trash Transformer Project!

The 8 artworks on exhibit represent the talents of 7 contemporary artists form the Central NY region, and include a diversity of methods including paint and ink on wood, mini and full size sculptures, and mixed media wall hangings.  All contain salvaged or reused materials that make up at least 50% of the artwork itself, representing the insane practice of over-consumption and disposal that is taken for granted in modern society.

The artworks debuted at the (R)evolution in(CASE) show on Saturday May 15th, and will be on a traveling exhibition schedule (Next stop is proposed to be at Strathmore Art on The Porches June 19, full schedule TBA) throughout the summer and fall.  You can view the pieces electronically right here . . . .
