We hope that some of you are planning on getting out next Saturday, April 25th to celebrate Earth Day.  Don't forget that the Syracuse Grows Resource Drive is taking place at Lipe Art Park from 10-12.  If you can donate any garden tools or supplies for the city-wide community garden network, then this is the time and place to drop them off.

Participating artists’ works will be exhibited in the “Lead to Gold Alchemical Trash Art Show” from May 21^st-27^th at Spark Contemporary Art Space (1005 E. Fayette St, Syracuse) as well as in the lobby of the Palace Theater (2384 James St, Syracuse) on May 28^th and 29^th.

The May 21^st showing at Spark is part of the Third Thursdays citywide arts open (see www.th3syracuse.com for more information).
Participating artists will be provided free tickets for both nights of the International Social Action Film Festival and be featured on The Alchemical Nursery Project website. In addition, a panel of judges will award the "Most Creative" entry with a cash prize equal to the amount bid for the artists's work. Add a comment

***717 Otisco Plans Showcased at Chamber Business Show***

The Alchemical Nursery's landscape design drawings for the proposed Urban Embassy at 717 Otisco Street were showcased Thursday, April 2nd at the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce Business Show.

The plan drawings were produced by a talented team of 14 landscape architecture students under Professor Emanual carter at SUNY-ESF.  The students worked over the course of a 10 day design charette with input from the ALchemical Nursery Board of Directors and Rick Destito of the Gear Factory.The design drawings were presented to the public on Wednesday March 25th at the Gear Factory artist studio warehouse on the Syracuse Westside.  The students were divided into 3 teams, and the work resulted in 3 sets of conceptual drawings.
