Our Clean Up 'Cuse project was selected as one of ten in the City to receive volunteer support, and additional resources from sponsors, for an Earth Day event on Saturday April 13th. Mark your calendars, this is going to be big - we're expecting 75-100 people to come out! There will also be free food and snacks provided by Tops Markets.
The
Alchemical Nursery will be coordinating with the Rahma Free Health Clinic, the 100 Black Men of Syracuse, and the Mary Nelson Youth Center for a cleanup of the South Salina Street Corridor, East and West Pleasant Ave, and East and West Newell Streets to Cannon Street. Activities will include litter cleanup on neighborhood streets, and weeding, mulching and seeding at the Rahma Edible Forest Snack Garden.
Come out and help not only make the Rahma Forest Garden ready for 2013, but also the whole neighborhood clean and fresh for Spring! Volunteers are asked to register by visiting www.volunteercny.org - select the Southside project location.
