What’s The Last Green Thing You Did?

-    I made a skirt yesterday from reused materials!
-    I brought a re-usable container to the local coffee shop instead of getting coffee in a take-out container that would end up in the trash – Sasha

-    I live, work, shop and play in Westcott Nation
-    I brought a cloth bag with me – Shelly
-    I walked here and just became a VEGAB – Emily
-    I am reporting a “Green Beat” for SU! Spreading the word… - Nina
-    I don’t let the water run while I brush my teeth!
-    I complained about too much paper announcements from elementary school, forms, flyers – it’s madness!
-    Walked here, made sure all the lights were off before I left
-    Recycled papers I can’t use
-    Made a rain garden to keep stormwater out of the sewers and out of Onondaga Creek!
-    Built a Glossary Link compost bin!
-    Sell my car – ride my bike. Change the way I live to leave a better planet
-    Reuse H20 from dehumidifier to water my plants. Reuse plastic food containers. Grew my own Glossary Link organic vegetables
-    Started recycling at work where no-one recycles anything!
-    Started a compost today
-    I carry my own bags everywhere!
-    We made a purse out of an old t-shirt! (recycling)
-    I recycled my food scraps and all the trash I can – Linda
-    Walked to the coffee shop today. Recycling tonight
-    Wash laundry in cold water instead of warm or hot

What is the greatest issue that you think Syracuse should improve upon?

-    Affordable alternative holistic health care for the entire community. Healing art centers/alternative – integrated free health clinics – Sasha
-    A more practical and usable bus system.
-    Remove I-81
-    Promote the Arts and Culture!
-    Quality of life issues – loud stereos in cars, litter!! Unbelievable but it’s back! Spitting, urinating in public, drug dealing on corners…
-    Create a participatory economy
-    Take the power back (i.e. get the government accountable to use)
-    Compost, bike routes, improve public transportation
-    Clean up Onondaga Lake
-    Destroy Destiny USA
-    Bike lanes! People will ride if they feel safe!
-    Substitute alternative energy for home heating – J
-    Concentrate on improving the lives of children instead of just fighting gangs
-    CSO’s (combined sewage overflow) and Glossary Link greywater. Oh yeah… THE LAKE!
