Be healthy this winter!  Onondaga herbalist Jeannie Shenandoah shares her knowledge of herbs with us in a return to a popular topic from last year.  We will make herbal tinctures and salves together.

Members of our community with mental distress, physical and/or mental challenges, or the challenge of learning English talk about how they’re affected by exclusion and we-they thinking.  Listen – share with us your experiences with marginalization – and help us envision a community based on inclusion and fair  access to resources.

OLD ROOTS, NEW ROOTS II

Members of established ethnic groups (African Americans, Native Americans…) are invited to sit down with members of more recently-arrived groups (the Congolese, the Bhutanese…)  An opportunity for whoever attends to address the problems we have with one another, examine their source – and move toward becoming a cross-cultural unifying force based on understanding.

YOUR PLANT GROWING PROBLEMS ANDSOLUTIONS 

Community gardens in various parts of Syracuse come together to talk about how they fared last growing season.  Bill Manciocchi, who grows and donates plants to south side gardens, shares his well seasoned ideas and new insights.
