biochar-1The Biochar Research Guild

The Biochar Research and Development Guild will work on creating biochar systems.  Areas of interest include: soil development, alternative energy, carbon sequestration, and anything involving biochar.  Short terms goals are the completion of a prototype furnace for biochar production and heat, and biochar Glossary Link compost experimentation.  Long terms goals are: a place for the construction of biochar stoves, tools available for experimenters, partnerships with educational/governmental/civic institutions, and gardens for biochar testing.


Vessel_CaptureThemselves Has Been A Gathering

I am a designer of instances moments of intense and lasting emotion, of intellectual complexity, of primal and visceral sensation.   Over the past three years I have been developing an interdisciplinary series of work entitled, Themselves Has Been a Gathering.  The project involves five immersive environments in which I will refer to as Vessels, sculptures that the viewer may enter, and a future post-apocalyptic narrative that is the impetus for the creation of the Vessels.
